Autumn leaves float down Ledyard Canal, also called the Ledyard Dyke, on Lincoln Avenue in Fayettevillle.
The Ledyard Canal, a man-made shallow power canal, was dug in the 1840s to provide water power to four mill sites in Fayetteville by drawing water from Limestone Creek in nearby Manlius.
Although the Ledyard Canal is no longer in use, it still contains water.
