
Sisters Erielle Brandon, 5, and Eriona Brandon, 9, celebrated Earth Day by helping clean up near the Dunbar Center in Syracuse’s South Side.
The Brandon sisters participated in We Can Do This: Spring Into Wellness, a partnership between the American Heart Association, the Health Care Education Project, Syracuse C.A.R.E.S. and the Dunbar Association.
The event emphasized community health.
It also featured:
- Earth Day cleanup
- mental health awareness month
- COVID-19 supplies and vaccinations
- healthy foods
- Zumba classes
- pickleball
- a kids’ table
- face painting
- hula hoops
- Vendors, like the Aging Life Care Association and Purple Banana
The next Spring Into Wellness event will be on May 6 from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. at Central Village Boys and Girls Club. That is located at 212 Van Buren St. and will celebrate Mother’s Day.
