The memorial for the girl, known as Brexi, was near the corner of Martin Luther King Boulevard East and Oakwood Avenue, across from Dr. King Elementary School.
Brexi was killed in a shooting on the 400 block of Oakwood Avenue on Jan. 16 around 7:45 p.m. A 19-year-old man was also injured in the shooting, and has been released from the hospital. Two people have been arrested and charged in connection with the case, according to Syracuse police.
