Join Central Current at Petit Branch Library on Monday for a “pop-up newsroom.”
Central Current staff and reporters will table at the library from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. The team hopes to meet with community members and find out what issues and concerns matter to them.
Editor-in-Chief Julie McMahon will be in attendance to offer her writing services and answer questions about the organization.
Petit Branch Library’s branch manager Carol Johnson said the library is excited to host the event.
“The public library is an intergenerational community hub, a neutral meeting place that hosts all types of community meet-ups,” Johnson said. “We are excited to host Central Current’s pop-up newsroom at Petit Branch and hope people take advantage of the opportunity to meet the staff and learn more about the news organization. The public library is a great place to engage in issues affecting our community.”
