Come to Northeast Community Center on April 2 at 6 p.m. to share with us how you experience news in Syracuse.

New York Focus, an independent nonprofit newsroom investigating power in the Empire State, is partnering with Central Current to host a conversation about local media.

We want to know: How do you experience the news in Syracuse and in New York State, generally? What is the news media doing well, and what are we missing? In what ways are the information needs of Syracuse residents distinct from residents of other cities and towns across the state?

Attendees will receive a $20 gift card, and will be asked to complete a survey for an additional $10 gift card. Refreshments will be provided.

Register for the event through Eventbrite here:

New York Focus was founded in 2020 and publishes in-depth journalism about climate, housing, criminal justice, immigration and economic development to explain how the state works.
