The event took place July 9 at the Eastside Family Resource Center, located at 202 South Beech St.
The event, free for senior citizens in the 128th District, was sponsored by New York State assemblywoman Pamela Hunter and featured complimentary food, drinks, and 70s music by DJ Showcase. Breland was crowned prom king later in the evening. A prom queen was also chosen, but she preferred not to be identified or photographed. The PEACE, Inc. Golden Age Social Club came up with the party theme.
