What better way to bring people together than with a home-cooked meal prepared by and with a community?

In celebration of Black History Month, Salt City Market presents “A Taste of Culture,” a series of events, held every Thursday from 6-7 p.m in the month of February. The event will be hosted in Salt City Market’s teaching kitchen at 484 S. Salina St.

“A Taste of Culture” represents the various diasporic cuisines inspired by Afro-American, African and Caribbean cultures.

The four-part series begins this with week with Tamica Barnett who is expected to prepare her homemade “Who Want Smoke” cornbread. The following weeks will feature additional guest chefs preparing specialized culinary dishes.

Due to limited seating, all interested attendees are encouraged to register on Eventbrite. The ticket will include a complimentary glass of wine.
