Construction continues at the “Moyer Carriage Lofts,” a housing development on the North Side, known for the building with the little house on the roof.

Developers say their goal is to build new construction inside the shell of a historic structure, preserving a significant architectural building.

The plan for the property is mixed-use, supportive and workforce housing with ground floor commercial space. The units will include 90 one-bedroom and 38 two-bedroom rentals. Nine of those units will be accessible and adapted for people with either mobility impairment, or hearing or vision impairment.

The project, valued at $55.4 million, includes plans for 3,670 sq. ft. of commercial space.
