Chris Van Patten is a software engineering leader with a passion for journalism and hands-on experience working with category-leading media brands. He was the founder and president of Tomodomo, a digital agency that built web platforms for brands like the Baton Rouge Business Report, Mindful magazine, and copyright/piracy news site TorrentFreak.
More recently, he was an engineering lead at Meredith (now Dotdash Meredith) working on the digital experiences of People, Entertainment Weekly, Better Homes & Gardens, and many of Meredith’s other iconic titles. He also spent several years as a volunteer core contributor to WordPress, the software platform that powers Central Current.
Today, Chris works remotely in the sports media industry. He and his wife Elana live in Manlius with their dog Ringo.
