Democrat Gregg Eriksen was victorious in his race for the Onondaga County Legislature’s 6th District against Republican challenger Chad Clark.

Eriksen won 53% of the vote with 100% of the votes counted, according to Onondaga County Board of Elections unofficial results. Clark had about 47%.

This district includes the southwestern parts of the county, including Camillus, Marcellus, Skaneateles and Spafford.

Eriksen became a freshman legislator after Democrats flipped the legislature in 2025, and he is the chair of the Environmental Protection Committee. He is also a member of the Planning and Economic Development Committee.

His priorities include expanding workforce housing, directing money “away from wasteful projects and towards community needs,” and investing in roads, Medicaid access and veterans outreach, according to his biography on the legislature website.

Eriksen ran on the Democratic and Working Families Party lines. Clark ran on the Republican and Conservative Party lines.
