Central Current in partnership with WCNY has launched a new radio talk show hosted by Syracuse radio legend Roosevelt “Rick” Wright.

Central Current Radio kicked off its first two shows with co-founder Tony Malevenda and reporter Chris Libonati.

Wright is a founding board member of Central Current, Inc. as well as a longtime radio DJ and host and professor emeritus at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Editor-in-Chief Julie McMahon helps host the show, which is produced by WCNY as part of its Community FM station.

The show can be heard online and is broadcast frequently throughout the week. It can be heard on an HD radio: at WCNY 91.3 HD3 Syracuse, WUNY 89.5 HD3 Utica, and WJNY 90.9 HD3 Watertown.

New episodes will air every other week.
