The tree lighting took place Dec. 2 at Sankofa Park and the Beauchamp Library on Syracuse’s South Side.
Tywonda Jones founded Jonesworld after she started dancing in 2016 in memory of her daughter, who died that same year, she said.
Food and beverages were served and Santa, gifts and the tree lighting were also featured.
