Haoyang “Peter” Zhou, a doctoral student in physics at Syracuse University, prepares to change his fishing lure at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville on Sunday. Zhou, whose hometown is Beijing, China, said Green Lakes “has got to be my favorite place in the Syracuse area” and that he visits the park about three times a week, fishing and flying drones for aerial photography.
Green Lakes State Park features two glacial lakes surrounded by forest. It also offers a beach, kayak and rowboat rentals, cabins and campsites, a concession stand, a golf course, trails, picnic tables and pavilions, a playground, and showers.
